I've UPC and when I got up the Digital TV Service is being upgraded (should take a few minutes) anyway an hour later it's still upgrading. Any advice (apart the obvious of going to SKY!!)

Hi deelite that usually indicates that the box is receiving no signal.
have you checked your RF in(white wire)to see if its come loose?
you can also try connecting the RF in lead into the back of your TV to see if you are getting the analouge signal.
you can ask a friendly neighbour if they are getting a signal.
as a last resort you could ring UPC on Freephone 1908 on the off chance they might answer the phone!:)

Just curious here. Last year upgraded the older grey upc box for the much bigger digital box - size of a basic dvd player. Was a disaster. So gave it back, see other entries from Sept/Oct 10. Question: has the box been upgraded, made smaller so it can fit into a neater space, or indeed changed completely, company and all else etc? As last one was a complete disaster and would dearly love to get something that would work as have just bought a Samsung UE 32"D5000.If I thought it had improved, since had 4 visits from engineers last time to no avail, might have a second look.
