I did this just a few hours ago. I sent a text to my boyfriend telling him how insanely gorgeous he is to my best friend. She didn't reply.

A friend of mine did this, explaining why she didn't want to go to the debs with someone...he was less than impressed.

I do it all the time, webtext is not my friend.

Did it once, was supposedly texting my brother telling him how things went with a certain girl, but sent it to her instead. Cue her calling me a few minutes later; luckily things went well and I said nothing bad in it. Turned out she was happy with what I said so it was ok in the end.

Thing is that he was a really nice fella, I was just in sh*t form. He rang and said he was coming down that day to talk to me, I thought I was in trouble and he brought me into the office and apologised to me and got me a Motorola V3 Razor phone before they were even on the market

I didnt, but my mate did.

He had just started a relationship with this girl who he was absolutely crazy about, they are still going strong, and I like to think its because she never got this text. Me and a few mates went down to Galway for a 21st, he ended up going back to the hostel early, and I txt him to see where he was, he was also texting the girl at the time and so he started txting me telling me he was back, and the drink took over so I got this:

"Yeh I'm back... Dont know when I can txt again but I know you're absolutely incredible! I love you so much baby!! You're amazing, love you like crazy xxxx"

Needless to say he got alot of stick ie. "Can you pass the bottle opener?" "Yeah, here." "Thanks, your incredible, love you like crazy."

so i once went out with a siobhan and then went out with a sinead, so one evening drafted a saucy text to sinead went into contacts screen zipped through the 's' picked the contact and hit send - it went to siobhan, of course i got a pretty interesting wtf? reply, which i had to reply to

moral of the story, never have ex girlfriend and current girlfriend side by side on your phone address book (or alternatively delete, delete, delete ex's numbers)

Simply writing about a certain person has them on your mind and you send it on autopilot to the last person on your mind...that person!!! :mad::(

The only other embarrassing texts I've sent were "accidentally on purpose" ones!

But yea sent one to an ex when pissed on a night out in cork, and spend the entire next day trying to explain myself, ended up meeting up with her another few times, and then after a short while realised again that she's an absolute b*tch.

I was on local radio discussing an upcoming event, and while on air, got a text from a disgruntled performer we left off the bill going "The fcuking prick is on the radio now"
The explanation I got when I rang her took about ten minutes and got ropier every second :pac: to which I replied "Yaaaaaaa. Ok. Bye" and hung up. She avoids me now :D

Google have a feature on gmail, if you send an email at an unusual time it asks you a simple maths problem.

I can't imagine being drunk enough to send an embarrassing message while still having the gumption to power on my laptop, wait, access the internet and login to gmail, that in itself would be a deterrent.

Still, the phone companies should look at this feature.
