    Does it matter if your field study exceeds 1000 words. Mine's 1487

    Mine's about 1,050. Just put down the aul 999 for the word count and you'll be grand. But 1,500 is a good bit over the top

    I typed out mine in MS Word first (I did the LC in 2010) to get an idea of the wordcount.

    I had 2,200 words :O So I reduced that to around 1,500, wrote 1,024 on the front of the booklet (my writing is small).

    They aren't going to count your words. They just put that limit there to make sure you don't write a phonebook!!
