Just got notified about this when I connected my iPhone. Not sure what it contains as yet though...

I think they're still working on an untethered JB for 4.3.

Urrgh, why did I update? I'd solved the battery problem from 4.3, now it's back.

How did you solve the problem?

Actually I spoke too soon. It's definitely down to turning 'mobile data' on for a few seconds and then turning it off again. I didn't give it enough time when I tried earlier. This solved the identical usage and standby times (despite being in standby only) that I had last time and this time (personal hotspot also played a role last time). :)

(I also have ping off just in case, but that didn't solve this particular issue)

Now if the call fail problem is gone...happy days.

No, it won't change the hardware.

Actually, one of the recent updates introduced this problem, as it was non-existent in my phone before I updated to 4.3. Only some of the early phones had that aerial issue.

My iPhone 4 bought on day one has it and the replacement I got in January has it, they never altered the antennae in any way.

I just tried installing 4.3.1 and it failed. The iPhone now says to connect to iTunes but that says I have to Restore and lose all my data.
It's a 3GS which was Jailbroken on 4.2. Any ideas or is loss of data unavoidable?

Restore it, Once installed then restore it from backup. you will have everything back as last data backup.

I just tried that but during the Restore it gave an error 1611 and stopped.

    For error 1611 try this

Change the USB port the phone is plugged in to. Do not plug the phone back in yet.

Reboot the computer then plug the phone in and immediately restart the phone in DFU WHILE CONNECTED to the computer.

    Hit restore.

I was in the process of trying this yesterday when I saw your post. It worked. Strange. Just lost music etc as it wasn't on the work pc for the backup to select it but all went fine once home. Thanks.
