Anyone got any recommendations for reasonably priced bike insurance to cover theft & accidental damage?
I got a quote from www.chill.ie for €267 per annum for a €2,500 value bike

have it included on your house insurance, should cost far less than the €267 you have been quoted

Does chill cover racing now? Last time I checked it was specifically excluded.
If you are a cycling Ireland member they have insurance again that does cover racing.

Do you know anything more about the CI insurance to cover bike damage during racing? I thought they did it a few years ago, lost a ****load of money and shelved it?

I emaild them and they pointed me to WWW.odon.ie, there's a get a quote thing. The insurers weren't overly helpful when I rang them re their lock policy, as the listing for my price range included quite a few 1* in independent tests and they basically told me they go by that list when I asked about my motorbike lock (5*).
Also not sure about discount for storage location seeing as mine are locked in alarmed room.
At least they cover competition use, so I'm off to buy a listed abus
