2 weeks in Sri Lanka

    Heading to Sri Lanka for two weeks in May, was just wondering if any of you guys have been that neck of the woods before as regards places to go and stay in a couple of short weeks. Looked on hostelworld for accommodation and seems to be mostly guesthouses which are way overpriced as i'm travelling on my own and there's no dorms!!! any info would be great. cheers:D

    Thinking of heading here in october. How did your trip go? worth it?

    It was good, really enjoyed it. A bit more expensive than i thought it would be, but that was mostly due to having to stay in hotels as outside of the cities there is no other choice. I started in Negembo and headed up to Anuradhapura, down to Kandy, hit the coast (very hot around galle) and back to Colombo, bit of a tight squeeze in two weeks though, that was the only issue, people are some of the nicest i've met when travelling.:)
