    Hi Guys

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.

I am getting married this September and instead of spending 400e for Flash Car on wedding we would like to spend that on hiring a BMW 5 series or similiar for the couple of days over the wedding.

    Our own cars are knackered.

Thing is am 28 yrs old and Hertz and all of the hire companies state you must be 30 before they will let you into one of these.

Anyone know where to hire a car for those under 30 yrs old.

The 30 years thing could be because of Hertz own insurance policy, you could look into transferring one of your policies onto the hire car if the hire company agree. It would need to be fully comp.

    I used national/alamo/ICR when I was 28. Got an e class.

    Push the boat a little,

An e-class or 5 series is hardly top class.

Try for a 7-series or an s-class at least.

Maybe up north would be a bet for hiring? A customs man is hardly going to do you on you wedding day!

    Thanks Guys,

I have a 1999 Opel Astra and Ms has a 2005 VX Astra.

I was looking for something along 5 Series or E Class, something just a bit smarter.

There is a company in Newry who do Self Drive Hire for ONE day only

They have a good offer S Class + E Class for 500e, just for one day.

Have a look here - they are expensive but I guess they are expensive cars

I think you will be disappointed by a 5 series if you get a 520d. That would certainly not be worth the expensive hire price that they usually require once you look for anything nicer than a mondeo.
I suggest that you would contact a garage that has a reasonably smart car for sale, explain the situation, transfer your own insurance onto it and pay them a reasonable hire cost. This is assuming you have comprehensive cover yourself.
Then take all the cash you saved, add a bit more and hire a proper car in the uk or somewhere else next time you have a weekend away. The choice is only limited by your pocket in the uk.

    How about this?

Less practical, but less expensive than your €500 per day quote.

Terms and conditions state you must be over 25.

HB Dennis do RangeRover rental if thats any good to you. Think its about €140 per day and the age restrictions start from 25
