Songs to celebrate the end of the Space Shuttle programme.

I am going to give this a try as many posters in the Astonomy and Space forum wish to express their feelings about this great adventure that is coming to an end,but it is a Science forum.

NASA have a tradition of waking crews up with songs since the Moonlandings.
not all of us can set an appropiate video to a song on youtube that suits the high emotions Spaceflight can inspire.

i will start it with this one for its song title,hopefully others will just 'let it rip' as to their song choice,hopefully no cynical ones,just any song to celebrate the end of NASA's importance as a peaceful and awe inspiring agency,and the fact that 2011 marks 50 Years since Mankind first broke free of Gravity via Yuri Gargarin.

i am not a mod so i cannot delete your messages.

i do not know if it just the music forum or new to boards.
usually it was the case that if you logged in you could by choosing the edit option delete your own posts for up to 48 hours.

if this is an option no longer available,you can PM a mod and ask them to delete it.

the names of mods on any forum are at the end of a forum,they usually help out very quickly.

i love your taste in music and you introduced me to some great singers i had never heard of on the A&S forum!:)

We hope you enjoy the video which contains various footage of the Space Shuttle's launch, orbit and landing. The video is dedicated to the lost crews from Columbia's and Challenger's last flight to the stars. Hence, the title of the song. All images contained in this video are courtesy of NASA.

Last Flight To Heaven ©2009 is an instrumental and is a concept piece of music. The song is actually a sister track to the song Last Train From Hell ©2009 as both songs originate from the same recording sessions. Each of the songs are fairly similar in style and are pure ambient rock!
The song was formed by using various multi-effects and a bass sequencer. It has a touch of Pink Floyd about it in that it has a fairly long intro.
