Surprised not to see this mentioned yet. Pure quality show, finished well before its time unfortunately, cancellation reason:
The series ended on May 19, 2009 after running for four seasons. Season four had ended with the caption 'To Be Continued'. The series' producer, 20th Television, approached the Fox, ABC,[7] TBS[8] and TNT[9] networks to continue the series, but they were unable to come to terms without "seriously undermining the artistic integrity of the series."

    Really a pity, here's a teaser of season 1

Really enjoyed this show. A very rare mix of quite funny AND family-friendly fun as well. It's got such a strong cast as well. It really should've gone for 1-2 more seasons (without undermining the integrity of the show of course!)

most of the cast are getting work in Raising Hope these days!!

I haven't seen the show yet, had a look at IMDb & the trailer but can't see any of the cast from MNIE, are they just cameo roles? Is it worth the watch?

Kenny (the gay guy) is a regular, the show's made by the same guy (Greg Garcia) and there's a couple of extras that you'd recognise. Lots of Earl cameos (Earl, Crabman, upcoming Randy and Joy) .....it feels very similar. Worth checking out, Earl's cameo is really funny. There's even a nod to MNIE as well :)

Off topic, I'm not as big into it as Modern Family, which is shot very similarly to Arrested Development and is quite funny.

i loved this show, i was so surprised that it got cancelled. i won't mind so much if they had of finished it properly but they never do. just like reaper, flashforward and sgu they just cancel and thats it. they should have took a leaf out of jericho's book and finished off the story. but thats easy for me to say as i'm not the one working behind the scenes. i think the main problem is that when they make a good show they want to keep making it for ten years. thats great for the fans but it's too hard on the writers and actors. if they just made them shorter and finished them off we would have better complete shows
if you take it he started with 259 items and after 4 years only had almost 100 done he would have finished around the 10 year mark. there was no way they could have ran that long with this. it's a real shame.

For me, it died when Earl went into a coma. I never watched it again after that silliness.
