VRT rebate question

Just wondering if there is such a thing as a VRT rebate?

I brought in a car from the UK around 3 years ago (an 01 Ford Focus) and paid an extortianate €1600 in VRT. It now looks like I'll be going back to the UK with car and potentially putting it back on the old plates.

Any idea if I'm entitled to any rebate - even against what the value/charge of VRT would be now?

    Thanks in advance

    Jim
