    Hi all,

I have over 15 years development exp using vb from version 2 up to .net 2008 and sql.server oracle ....
Working as a contractor for 8 years in numerous blue chip companies in Ireland. I then had a career change in 2005 and changed into a sales role for a change. I now fancy getting back on the market maybe as a perm per not to sure. I have been tinking away with asp .net for the past year

My question is basically should i get microsoft certifications and what you recommend and why.
Can anybody recommend good in class courses also
    Thanks alot

In my experience people want to know what you have done/can do more so than what you have studied.

However, you say that you have been 'tinking' with .net. Would you consider yourself proficient enough to sell your skills in it?
What role are you looking for out there? Will it require much skill in .net?

i would consider my skill level as very proficient in all versions of vb up to vb vbnet 2005 , sql server up to 2005 and oracle up to v 11. My prob is that i have not woked as a programmer since nov 2005 but now want to .I feel that i need to do some sort of course and sit a MCP exam in prob vb .net/asp.net/sql server etc . Just to prove myself again to perspective employers

Well then. You've kind of answered your own question there. :)
Not sure of decent training sources for you though (whereabouts in the world are you?)
