New RSA ad?

Were my ears deceiving me, or did I just hear an RSA ad on the radio reminding cyclists of our responsibilities on the road in case we get killed?

Was there an undertone that implied that going out on your racing bike and dreaming of being the next Sean Kelly etc. was going to get you killed?

I'm sure when I was in England they used to run ads telling car drivers to watch out for motorbikes or cyclists and not the other way round.

Yes you did and I have to agree with the ad, just because you've a saddle under your ass doesn't excuse you from your responsibility not to be a muppet.

Totally agree and to be fair their website says some good stuff. Was just surprised to hear it and in fairness it is a good idea as it increases general awareness. Now to get back to trying to be the next veteran (couldn't believe my CI card had (vet) after my number. How depressing)

As an aside, has boards.ie put the clocks forward already as the times seem to be an hour out?
