Desire Z hinge fix

Hi. I bought a Desire Z on adverts last week, it didn't have a receipt with it but I was told it was bought on 3. The hinge has become really loose and I'm just wondering... if I went in to 3 would they say that I need the receipt to cover the warranty or would they fix it as it's a known problem with the Desire Z?

If they won't, does anybody know anywhere in Dublin that will atleast be able to fix it?

    Thanks. :)

Nobody knows no? I know how to take it apart but I'm too afraid to do it myself. :p

Call HTC 01 696 8474, if it is covered under warranty they'll give you a ticket to return it to them for repair.

Even if I don't have proof of purchase?

Yeah, they'll know by serial/IMEI number.

The Z was only announced in September anyway, so can't be out of warranty.

Yeah but I was thinking you needed the receipt. I read in the warranty statement that you needed the receipt though?

Nah, I've had two repairs without proof of purchase.
