Congratulations to De la Salle who won the FAI Senior Schools Cup in Tolka Park Tuesday last on penalties against St. Patrick's Cavan.

Fantastic to see great Waterford soccer names involved - Coad , Hale & Whittle.

They are to be guests at the Waterford United game against Finn Harps tonight. Fair dues to the club for honouring them.

That's great...people dont realise how big an achievement winning that tournament is. As far as I know there was 200 other teams involved.

The school has a half day in celebration today as well.

Think the lads are also hoping they might be brought to the Ireland game tomorrow night.

Kenneth McEvoy who is away with the Ireland under 17's at the moment and who was signed for Spurs last year, scored a cracker of a goal 2 years ago when they won the All Ireland under 14 or 15 version of the schools tournament. Just goes to show the calibre of player that is on display for these school teams.

Great win, a great achievement and well done to all concerned.

Having been at the school's awards night last year it was fantastic to see the success it's pupils are having in sport both at home and on an international level, most of which I hadn't realised especially of the lesser followed sports.
