right lads as some of you might have read in my last thread on this, i opened a paypal claim against the scammer for €350 and they have not responded atal and they only have till the 24th, today, to respond. if they do not, it states my action being required is the next step. what kinda info will they be looking for?

I don't think anything will be required. If the other party doesn't respond in the allotted time, them Paypal will simply close the dispute in your favour.

It will close tomorrow at the same time you opened the claim.

so even though they only have until today to reply, the case will be closed tomorrow at 12:51? < the time i escalated it.
if it is closed, how long till i get the money back and how sure are you that i will anyway?

You'll only get the money back if Paypal can recover the funds. If the other person has cleared out their account, then you'll get nothing. The other party's failure to reply does result in the dispute going your way, but it does not guarantee a refund.

yeah i just read that on a similar case on google. will i get nothing back atal then, even off paypal? surely if i was a scammer i would not let funds dwindle in account, especially if i knew that a buyer (me) was attempting to get their money back?

Isn't that the reason that you would use Paypal, that they would refund you in a case of fraud?

That's what I though but going on what I'm reading from the net they dont reimburse you atal and that they only cover sellers really

You will get your money back if it's there. Buyers are given more protection than sellers in most cases.

Yes but as I said, if I'm a scammer I'm hardly gonna leave the money in my account if I know someone is looking for it back?

PayPal pays out on off eBay NR transactions now, regardless if money is in the account or not.

so the fact that it was a non reveivership case outside of ebay means they will pay out?
