Park & Ride options, Meath to Dublin

Yesterday I parked in the Little Chef at the Auburn Avenue roundabout and cycled 9 miles into work, but it is not easy to drive out of or cycle into.

So I was wondering does anyone here park in the Dunboyne or Phoenix Park train station and cycle from there. Are there any charges or do the gates get locked at any time.
I work shift so sometimes the car might be left overnight.
I have started to cycle from home to work once a week but its 48k either way so I am not ready yet to do this more than say twice a week.
I would like to split the rest of the week between the car and the bike, ie Park and Ride.
My commute is from Summerhill in Meath to Ringsend in Dublin 4.
    Thanks for looking!

Phoneix Park charges, it's €4 and will get you basically 24hrs. I don't think there is any gates there but id be wary enough of leaving it overnight as there is very few cars left there.

I have often seen broken glass on the ground a coupl eof times I have parked there and the clampers are ALWAYS there.

Coolmine would be safe enough, 24 hours and a good cycle in and out.

Why not do the full distance but 2 or 3 days/week instead of 4/5. You'll end up with similar on the bike distance and petrol costs.

Getting back into the car cold, sweaty and hungry can be a pain for the return leg.

There is no charge in the M3 train station in Dunboyne (For now anyway) and €2 per day (think its €5 per week).

Blanchardstown Shopping Centre is free and reasonably well supervised.

On-street between Beech Park Avenue and Auburn Aveunue may also be an option, or past Scott's pub on the Old Navan Road (cul de sac). Church Avenue in Blanchardstown has plenty of free on-street parking.

+1 for Blanch, that'd be the easiest spot to guarantee free, 24hr parking

    Sorry that should have been:
