Metal Kits For 1911 Pistols

I'm new to airsoft - just bought a TM MEU a few weeks ago and I'm thinking about changing the plastic frame, slide & barrel for aluminium ones. I have a few questions which I hope you folks can answer for me.
Firstly a number of manufacturers do these but there can be quite a price difference for basically the same parts - eg Nova kits cost about $100 more than Guarder. Are the Nova parts that much better and if so why. I'm only guessing here that the finish may be anodized on the dearer kits as opposed to painted on the cheaper ones but that would still not justify the price difference.
Also do the TM parts fit right into the frames & slides without too much hassle and if changing over to the metal kits will I just need to add a more powerful recoil spring and high flow valve or is more involved. I think I read that some parts may need to be glued in place but I couldn't locate where I read that again
    Thanks. Jim
