Saorview aerial electricial interference

Apologies if this has been asked before.

I recently purchased a Walker Saorview box and I'm using an All-In-One aerial pointing at Three Rock from my apartment.

The picture and sound quality are excellent except for one very annoying problem. Everytime a major electrical item is switched on or off the picture and sound freeze for a few seconds. It gets quite annoying as you can imagine.
Also, if I'm on a call on my mobile the picture and sound completely freeze until the call ends. It stutters a lot when receiving and sending texts too!

    Has anyone got a solution?

    Thanks in advance!

if you can afford it and it is possible get a loft or roof mounted aerial it will solve the problem - otherwise i have no idea other than suggesting trying to move the aerial to different locations in the apartment - at possible risk of reducing signal quality of course - someone else may have encountered similar symptoms and may be able to provide a better solution ...

If it's an amplified one try a €6 to €12 one that is not amplified, and not made by one for all. Avoid tesco, argos

Here is dismantled indoor aerial of suitable kind

    but what dmm1000 says
get a loft or roof mounted aerial it will solve the problem

Have seen this quite a lot on customers systems, usually when they have a loft mounted aerial, A tetra filter or UHF band pass between the aerial and the masthead amplifier will stop the interference, basically a badly designed amplifier is being overloaded by out of band signals, good quality amplifiers will have filtering built in. But as your aerial and amplifier are all in one this can't be done. but if your getting a good signal with a settop antenna a loft mounted aerial unamplified and with good quality shielded cable of rg6 or ct100 quality would probably do just as well.

Yes, even Loft aerials much more prone to interference than outdoor and often "amps" make all worse.
