As it says above, I need to get a towbar mounted carrier that can take 3/4 bikes. A good second hand or even a recommendation of a new one being sold at a knock down price will suffice....;)

That's great, thanks for the offer! I'm doing a charity spin in Galway in three weeks. If I don't get sorted by then, I might take you up .. ;)

However, long term I know I need to get something for myself as wifey and chislers want to brought out to "family friendly" placed to spin out.

I know a dude that has a Thule towbar job for sale, can take 3/4 bikes.
He tried to sell it to me last week but I bought a Jeep and can put my bike indoors now !

Let me know if your interested.

I have a Thule Ride-On three-bike carrier. It's very solid when attached and since it holds the bikes by the wheels they don't swing all over the place. I'm not using it since I got a van. PM me if interested.

Hi Morgan, can you confirm what model Thule that ride on bike carrier you have is. Is it the 9503 as in the below link?

Any description as to the age and condition of the bike carrier and a guide price? Thanks

    Interested in this also.

Morgan, many thanks for the PM and chat. The carrier you are offering sounds like a very nice piece of kit. We've decided between ourselves that our needs are best served with a 4 rather than a 3 carrier, so unfortunately I have to pass up. But believe me, I was bloody tempted...:D

@Dr_Colossus, if you are interested, PM Morgan ;)

Thanks for your help with this one MrBungle, I'll be catching up with your mate later in the week.

Well I bought that Thule carrier and it turns out that I bought the wrong blood one for the type of towbar I have. How stupid can I be.....

Therefore I'm selling it (Thule 9705) which bolts onto the towbar flange.

I paid €80 for it. Open to reasonable offers

That's a spot of bad luck, presume your towbar is a single solid bar rather than with the ball bolted onto the flange. Where did you buy it, can you not exchange it for the Thule HangOn 9708 which I presume is the one you need?

Yep, got it in one. For some reason, I had it in my head that the towbar on wifey's car had two bolts through the ball into the flange, when in fact it was a swans neck coming from under the bumper :o

I bought it second hand, not new. I even rang Thule in the UK to see if they would sell me the "hang on" clamp from the 9708, but the don't supply that part on its own.

As I said, it's 100% my cock up
