Polling times

It's too late for me to vote today, but Collie Oliver's email said that polling closed this evening at 6pm, while the Returning Officer's email said 9pm.

The RO's email says tomorrow it closes at 5pm, which I would tend to trust more. But could someone clarify that, as we're getting mixed messages.

    Cheers!

Where's the conflict exactly? Collie didn't mention a closing time for tomorrow, so I would assume it's 5pm, as previously stated. I agree with you that it was confusing, but I think the reason Collie said 6 tonight is because most polling stations closed at 6, it was just the one in the hub that stayed open until 9.

Well another SU email ("DCU SU Official Announcement of proposed DCU SU Constitution") said that polling was to close today at 5pm and tomorrow at 9pm.

It's just all over the place. If it closes at 5pm, I can't vote, so just looking for some definitive clarification.

Fair point. However, that e-mail is quite old and it's the returning officer that has the last say for elections and referenda so I'd stick with the information in the e-mail from him. For a proper clarification, I would recommend e-mailing him.

As far as I know, it does close at 5pm tomorrow, as they want to have the count finished for Friday morning, but of course, I do not count as a reliable source ;)
