just recieved my new bike

    hello all i just recieved my new bike today i ordered it online on sunday from england its a giant defy 4 triple 24 speed im new to cycleing so this bike is grand for me im well pleased with it actually its much nicer looking in the flesh anyway i took it out for a quick spin earlier and it goes great i just need to get used to all the damb gears now :eek: i only had tracksuit pants on but sweet jebus me a**e was well sore please tell me a pair of cycle shorts will make all the difference looking forward to haveing lots of cycle type discussions now im part of the bike club:D

    shorts have a little padding, but more importantly less friction because they're tighter to you, and wick away the sweat.

    There's probably a more thorough explanation.

    they will, but your arse will need a bit of breaking in too if you're just starting, it'll only be a bit sore for a day or so after the first couple of spins

    If you're new to cycling it takes a while for your bum to adapt :P However even once it does you'll need cycling shorts for anything over...5km+ Get a decent pair, well worth it.
