does anyone here work in a petrol station who's job involves looking after the car wash power-washers?

if so does anyone know what kind of soap is used in them? presumably they buy in 5gal drums of it, but what is it? i want to get some for my own power washer as it leaves a good shine and lifts the dirt clean off with out having to lay a finger on the car.

also what type of liquid wax is used?

    thanks

I think its more the pressure and the fact its heated rather than the soap thats doing it , shure just sell the evo/beamer/shogun/hover car and buy a heated diesel washer

Autosmart detergent is normally used bur thats normally sold in 205l barells. Avoid a red detergent made by craigavion chemicals your red Evo will end up pink or worse it could disapeer.....:eek:

as above, its really the extra pressure and the warm water.

the products most use are piss poor.

a lot use concept delta force detergent which is aggressive aggressive stuff, prolonged use without waxing etc wouldn't be great.

as for their 'wax', im sure its not really a wax, more some silicone based piss to disperse the water off the car and doesn't really offer any protection.

if you want to buy industrial volumes of cleaning products, look at the auto glym commercial range.

I suppose the reason you ask is you are looking for a summer job washing cars and you dont want to burn your hands on the bad detergent....:p

You seriously STILL digging a hole for yourself on boards?

First you go and throw away an account for lying, then you use another account and alienate yourself further by having a go at other posters and being cheeky when we're trying to help?

Seriously, pull the finger out and sign back in as bmw535d and just say sorry...nobody will care once that happens

No way would I want pressure to be lifting the dirt. Eventually it'll start lifting paint too if you're using lots of pressure. Use a sponge in combination with the pressure washer

im digging no hole, ive thrown away no account, im only having a go at posters who are having a go at me thinking im someone else. i wish i could sign into 535d's account to clear up that im not him. theres nothing more annoying than being blammed for something i didn't do over and over again. ive no doubt 535d has long left boards, which is unfortunate for me.

the mods should delete all these off topic threads but there heads are too far up thier asses to do so.

any posts from now on should be on topic, pm me if you want to measure the size of the dick on your forehead further.

thats the way im washing the car at the minute, i power-wash the loose dirt off, then spray on some turtle wax big orange cleaner, then wash the car with a sponge and autoglym car wash. and rinse it again with the powerwasher, im just looking for a quicker way as its alot of work and it only lasts a day on wet irish roads.
