Im in Castleknock and its working fine. Could it be a problem with your aerial or a connection. Did you try to retune your tv.

Tralee is down as well by the looks of things all day - is there any technical announcement?

There never is, its still only a trial service and subject to interruption until it launches as a full public service at the end of May.

tried retuning the TV and i've completely lost the digital stations due to the transmitter being down....guess i'll just have to wait till tomorrow to try again....

All fine today - had to retune the digital channels though unfortunately as I had wiped the previous settings when attempting to fix yesterday - signal must have just been down for a day

Theres a big area of high pressure over the country and stretching into Britain and Europe.
So I suspect it's co channel thats causing your problems because of tropospheric ducting of far away signals on the same frequency as your saorview.
    It commonly known as lift.

My yagi is pointing to Wales. I have been picking up nothing but the PSB Mux through the back of the aerial outside high pressure spells!

    Well I don't believe you :)

    Well I don't believe you :)

You have no idea how upset I am.

Infact I dont know if which I am more upset at, being able to receive the PSB Mux with aerial interference free (and no Welsh TV) or that you dont believe me.
    :)

Oh if you had of said you got no welsh tv,I would have believed you as mt leinster would probably come in then.
You left that bit out though which of course going on past tete a tetes here with you I flagged as mischievous.
    Silly me...

For what it's worth from experience, that usually means it's the cable thats doing as much receiving as the aerial as something broken is stopping wales in the set up.
Up here from where I am,a broken diplexer stopping most of presely would still leave enough to blot out 45 mt leinster.. but anyhow I digress.

Anyway I think our views on saorview's awkward use of ch 45 in the south east are well known on this forum to be mutually exclusive anyhow.

I was only offering a plausible explanation for peoples loss of saorview in certain areas when others had it.
    No biggy.

I have no doubt that is the case. I had stripped off the box connector to the bare wires and also the coax coming from the TV. I had one stripped cable in my hand and it was still picking up DTT !

Would love to get my hands on the idiot who wired the place.

Just to add for those that don't know,Mt leinsters mast is visible to the naked eye from wexford town.

Channels have been off for me for the past few days from Clermont. When tuning in nothing happens, but I am getting some stations in the 800's that are duplicates of channels I already have elsewhere in the EPG so I'm guessing I'm picking up two transmitters, but what could be blocking the Clermont signal? What other transmitters around are on the same frequency/polarisation?
