I've used joomla for the first time - all went great :)

I installed jce extension - all worked great :)

I installed Kunena - but I'm getting a problem - an error msg. "JFolder::create: Could not create directory" just above the forum interface on that page only...
and a further msg "# Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$link_title in /*****/*****/*****/*****.com/templates/themza_j15_71/functions.php on line 152 Home" - this error msg is repeated for each published link on [mainmenu]. I realise this is a permissions issue probably related to ownership.

Now I've been on the Joomla forum, the Kunena forum and spoke to my hosting provider but have not yet got the answer I need.

Joomla / Kunena forums are fairly clear on... "all files must be owned by apache:apache - my question is how do I write to or edit files that are owned by apache? How or where do I give myself this permission without compromising security and leaving the site vunerable to attack.

All the files are currently owned by my ftp username (they were installed using Joomla's ftp layer) but it seems they must be owned by Apache:Apache for Joomla to write to them.

Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated

    SG

I suggest going to Joomla's FAQ or support srvice (if they have one) or Send them an email, it seems to be a glitch, which means its probably like that with all Joomla's sites.
