Hi guys,

I'm hoping to pick up a used iPad in the next week or so (I'm a student and don't have the cash for an iPad2 ). Just wondering where ye think I could get the best deal on one and whats the most I should spend??

Try adverts, max 300 / 400 / 500 depending on capacity. Might as well get new + warranty direct from apple at €80 higher than that.

Yeah I've been looking around Adverts and people dont seem to be selling them off too cheap. Even with the iPad 2 so close there all charging 350 an up which is ridiculous since it's €379 new. I'd wait a while after it's released and then look at the second hand iPad 1st Gens.

Get a referb unit from apple. €339 with free delivery. If you can claim the vat back it works out at around €270

Comes with 1 year warranty and they are in perfect condition.

I really don't understand the prices on adverts.

Ya the adverts prices are a bit crazy. Theres one seller with a 16gb wifi who won't sell for below 350, granted there is a fold-up bluetooth keyboard with it but that couldn't be worth much..?

I hadn't realised the refurbs were available again, thanks! Definitely a good option but would still have liked to get the iPad and also purchase a keyboard for around the 340 mark...

I suppose I'll just have to wait and see!

I dont think so! Only if you purchase using a VAT registered company's details and the iPad is for use by your role in the company.

Yeah if I was you i'd get one directly from Apple theres nothing like getting something new out of the box with no usage or scratches.

Heres a good 16GB Refurb for €339.

If you have patience and want to wait i'd say hold out and you'll get one a few weeks after the iPad 2 is out for a lot cheaper than whats on Adverts right now.

Ya, I think the peace of mind of the warranty may be worth it too. I have absolutely no patience, Ive decided I want it and that's it :P

God, my credit card is going to get a hammering :P

I already owe out 500 on my card from a previous Apple purchase this month and now 600 will be added for iPad 2. So it could well be worse for you

I wish they had 32GB refurbs then i'd consider that myself. But for over 2 months I haven't seen any on the site. In either Wifi or 3G. Pity.

Just hope this iPad is worth all the hype.

Yup, and there'd be very little hassle in the obligatory rename either. We're mostly there already, just capitalise the R instead... iReland

I think we actually have it cheaper than the UK for a few Apple products..... surprisingly enough.
