Get him to pay for it.

the person that had them when they were broken claims they were like that when he took it out of the box... yet failed to mention it to me...

I would imagine the best solution would be to let him know how much of a cúnt he is and never have any more dealings with him. You've probably learnt a valuable lesson on why you never loan anyone your equipment…

its quite a long story but the gear isn't 100% mine, it belongs to the DJ society in UCC and I am the chairperson of the society

main issue now is getting the gear fixed, any suggestions there?

Ah, so your man could have been telling the truth…

My guess is that something is burnt out on it from a power surge or something being spilt on it but I could be completely off. People on here have mentioned somewhere in Celbridge that's good at fixing this sort of equipment - maybe someone can remember the name? Couldn't give you a guess of how much it would cost though…

well I was using the decks that day and they were working perfectly so maybe they were dropped in transit...

if the power source was burnt out they wouldn't turn on though no? Its such a weird problem!

I was thinking more that something inside that had burnt out not the power source but it could be simply a connection that's come loose.

Aquarius is the name of the place I was thinking of.
