Do you do them? I did my first one recently and decided against buying due to its report. They are great. What I didnt realise is how many there are. I only knew of Cartell, then I saw Motorcheck who were doing 20% off so I went with them at 28 euro with discount for full check. Now I found MyWheels at it only cost 12 euro! WOW just thought I would share and would like to hear what you think of these services?

They are ok but it someone repairs their own car themselves and tells nobody then nothing will show up in the reports as nothing has been logged.

Yeah but its great for the things you do learn for eg. not taxed and off road for a while...

Even better though is if you know someone in the motor industry who has access to the SIMI system. Its saved me a fortune in the last few months while looking for a car.

so what does a SIMI approved trailer have that others dont. I have mixed reviews from them.

I don't get you exactly, when you say trailer?

/EDIT Sorry, I think you meant trader.

Most people around here don't give much credibility to being SIMI registered, but it supposedly gives you an extra layer of comeback if you have issues after a sale. My actual reference was that SIMI dealers can check regs for free which gives you some history on a car, so what I meant was that if you knew someone who was in the business, they could do your checks for nothing.
