    Hi all,

I have had a HTC Wildfire for the past 6 months and had advanced task killer and it was great.

Last week i bought a HTC HD and Have the same task killer BUT apps keep opening,For example Yahoo mail, when i close it about 1 minute later it opens again, same with youtube and loads of others.

Apart from turning off the 3G which i really dont want to do. Is there any reason why they are opening up so much and any advice on how to keep them closed?

Stop using task killer. It totally unneeded for any Android on 2.2 or greater.
Android OS suspends unused programs immediately after closing and then closes them after another time interval.

The symptoms you are seeing with ATK are because you are not letting the OS manage the tasks correctly itself, so its launches them again.

So should i un-install the task killer? also is the Android OS already on the phone or do i need to download it or set it up? sorry for the dumbass questions

    Un-install the task killer.
The OS on the phone looks after recently used apps on the phone itself.

All of the above. There was a good link floating around explaining fully how Android manages tasks and why task killers are no use for that purpose. I think I have it on my home pc so I'll post it when home.
