I will be having the inside of the doors on my volvo 1800 soda blasted soon, and the person doing so suggesting putting owatrol oil on them after,
anyone got any experience with this stuff?

I live near the sea and use it for corrosion protection on a lot of stuff. Its good yes but I'm not sure I'd use it on its own as a long term solution. Here’s why, first off on its own it seems to have a limited life span, outside with exposure it protects steal for no more than two years, second it works better when mixed with paint and if used on its own its best applied to areas that already have surface rust which soaks it up.

So I'd say apply it to a clean rust free surface as mix it say 50:50 (check the lable) with a similar paint colour to the rest of the car. Or use it mixed with aluminium primer - thats a good protective finish that can be painted.

Final note it does not mix with many of the paints used on cars so rtfm for details ;) but that doesn't stop you using it where it won't be seen as a corrosion preventative.
