    Hey,

Recently purchased a Takamine EG523-12 string from Thomann. I sent them a message to ensure the guitar was properly set up with no fret buzz. Sure enough the guitar arrived and yes.....loads of fret buzz:mad::mad:
In the past with cheap guitars I've done plenty of adjusting to neck relief, nut and saddle height etc but not willing to tamper with this guitar.
So my question is does anyone know a good guitar tech or luthier in the Dublin area who could sort this out??

    Regards,
    Tony

There are a list of people in the resources sticky. Dereck Nelson, Eugene Mcloughlin, John Moriarty are all good.

Dereck is in Marlay Park - 01 4942741
Eugene is on the south cicular road - http://www.theguitarworkshop.net/
John is near belfield - http://archtop.ie/

Even if it was setup perfectly before leaving their shop the neck could have adjusted in shipping. Its one of the issues buying guitars, especially acoustics and even more so a 12 string online. That is one of the reasons I would never even consider buying an acoustic I hadnt played, especially one that is a bit pricey.

Yeah I agree about the cons of buying online but I've been looking for a good 12-string for weeks now and searched plenty of guitar stores in Dublin. Most stocked only cheap models that were not very good or above my price range, others had none at all so I had no option but to buy online. But thanks for the list of names.
