Networking my LED TV with my computer

I have a Samsung UE46C8700 LED TV and I am trying to network it with my home computer. The TV has a WIFI feature that is allowing me to connect to the internet via a wireless router. However, it would be great if I could show movie files, music and photos on my TV that are stored on my computer's hard drive. The TV has no problem connecting to the internet, but it doesn't see my computer which is also connected to the same wireless network via the same router (the computer sees the TV but has not way to access it).

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do? Do I maybe need special equipment? Or are is the TV just not set up correctly?

    Thanks for your suggestions!

you need to share your media using a upnp/dnla server. if you add all the files to windows media player and switch on sharing it should be able to see it. if not, something like tvversity will work
