Query re commecement notice and building

    Hi i am just wondering we got planning on the 15th of March and we are just waiting for our final grant to issue. Which takes four weeks. I am wondering what date can we start work on the site. Is it right in saying four weeks for final grant making it the 12th of April and then is it two weeks from then for the commencement notice. What wouold be the very soonest i could start work on the site would it be the 26th of April

    No, if you are expecting the final grant out on the 12th April you could put the commencement notice in on the 25th or 28th March with the start date for the 12th April in anticipation of the final grant coming out on the date you expect and starting on that date also.

    Check with Building Control first though, but I have done it this way before now.
