Heya! The interview/entrance exam is very very manageable.. if you haven't already downloaded the past papers, then do that and have a look. There will be a little composition question so be prepared for that. The essay is all your own views/ideas etc so that's doable. The interview is fine-just as long as you play something THAT YOU ENJOY!!! don't do an exam piece that's too difficult, show off your musicality without putting yourself under pressure. Hope you get in, might see you tearing around the department next year! ;)

    Best of luck!

The interview is fine! I was apprehensive about my audition (back in the day!) but it is definetly not as hard as one may imagine. The exam itself is just as the above poster described. There is great choices for the essay questions. They really like when you put your own personal stamp on it, as they might in your interview strike up a conversation regarding what you mentioned. The interview and performance is very laid-back. Instrument depending, you might be asked for some sight-reading. I play piano and was presented with a sight-reading which was roughly grade 5 or 6 level. If you are a singer, then some sight-singing may be given. Though i'm aware this is not the case for everyone. You'll be made feel very welcome, so enjoy and best of luck!
