    Does anyone know if we have estate sales here in Ireland?

    They're quite common in the States.

    Yep you do, think mealys are having one shortly, its generally the country auctioneers who do them, mealys, dolans

    Sheppard's of Durrow and Victor Mitchell in Roscrea would also specialise in this type of auction.

    Check the Irish Times on Saturday but be warned that house/estate sales are often packed with items from other houses (this is usually declared in the fine print in the catalogue) and what's on offer may not be from the principal estate, this can apply whether the sale is held in the auctioneer's premises or the house itself.

    I could be wrong but I don't think the OP was talking about Country House type sales more like garage sales. :confused:
