    Hi folks,
Currently pursuing science in Nuig 1st year.
Got my letter back from the county council as I applied for fees and they only now have sent me a reply.
Basically they want proof of residence for 3of the 5 years.
I am aware this is well documented but I came back to Ireland in June 07 as I had to cut short my travels due to an eye problem.
I was unable to work until March 08,never claimed social welfare as I did not know when the problem would clear up and my parents were good enough to put me up.
Thing is I am finding it hard to prove the 6mths up until March as any old bills I had I bummed them and I was depending on the odd 50 euro my folks were good enough to give me,as I was living at home all bills were in their name.
I rang the council today and asked if I get a sworn affidavit by the commissioner of Oaths would this satisfy them and they said they are under instruction not to accept these.
    Has anyone encountered this problem
Before and can anyone offer me advice as I just don't have a cent to pay it and I love my course won't be able to borrow from anyone and credit union have already turned me down.
    Any info at all appreciated

What about a letter from your doctor saying you had been treated by him/her during this time?

Got seen in the Uk before I came back to Ireland was visiting the brother and lost my vision in 1 eye.
Specialist in Northampton said it would return in time, applied to see a consultant but since I had no Vhi or medical card I had to wait for donkeys and it cleared up by then Larianne.
The folks are rooting through any literature that they might have but it's not looking good.
Absolute disaster especially during exam time ya know yourself.
