Not ACA but when I trained I got the day of the exam + two other days per exam.

Any time beyond that came from holidays.

As above didn't do ACA, but when I was studying got the day of the exam + 1 day, took holidays other than that. I think it helped in one way to focus for the short time I had off, just knew what had to be done.

Did cap2 last year, got the CAI recommended leave of 6 weeks plus week of exams. This is what the Institute recommends employers to give students but the last word is with the employer I think.

In a fairly big company, not as easy to get the time off in a smaller firm id imagine!

I did CIMA. Always got one day study leave and one day for the exam. Along with time off to attend revision courses and the like.

Civil Service give two days per subject plus morning/afternoon for the exam. Everything else is from holidays.

For ACA I presume you are talking about "block leave". I think this depends on the Department you are working for and the needs of the unit in which you are working in. It might also depend on whether a Gov Dept would allow a person out (on pay) for this period of time.

The 2 days per subject is a general Civil Service standard which is regulated by Circulars

I'm doing ACCA exams and I get 5 days study leave per exam session (June & Dec) + the day of exam off.

Doing 3 exams in June so I get 5 days + the 3 exam days off.

This is the same for CIMA etc, in our firm.

I am doing CAP 2s and working for 1 of the big 4. I am off on study leave since the 6th April until after the exams which are the week of the 21st June. I am doing all 4 cap2 exams.

That's practice as opposed to industry. A lot less time off in industry which was a major factor when I decided not to go for my CAP 2s and join another body than the ACA.

I am doing CAP 2, working in industry, small Irish company. I am getting the week of the exams (20th - 24th) as exam leave. Everything else coming from holidays - taking the week before the exams off, thats it! One of the joys of being in industry :-)

I keep panicking everytime I hear that people are already off on leave from some practices and the more time I spend stressing about how little time I have the less I get done so I have decided to just has to make the most of the time off that I have :)
