There is no point in trying to see all those 3 countries in 3 weeks it would be too much of a rush.

Pick Laos and Cambodia OR Vietnam.

We just managed Vietnam and Cambodia in three weeks, flew Dublin to Amsterdam to Bangkok with China Airlines (never again, go with BA or AF) then we got an AF flight to Hanoi and made our way down the country takingin Halong Bay, Hue, Danang, China Beach, Hoi An, My Son and then Saigon. We took a boat up the Mekong from Saigon to Phnom Penh and then went on to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.

Taking internal flights will save you a lot of time.

I loved every minute of it but have to say in Vietnam I felt very much just a $$$ sign!

just wondering how much the internal flights were? as that will be near the end of my trip so im likely to be verrrry low on funds by then:(

They were reasonable enough, I think from Bangkok to Chaing Mai it was €30 one way. From Hanoi to Danang I think it was €60 and then Danang to Saigon and Siem Reap to Bangkok were both €50. The Siem Reap to Bangkok was the only one I booked before I left as I knew I would have to be in Bangkok to get my flight home to Dublin.
