I've heard from a couple of friends that are using this and love it. Haven't tried it myself yet.

Just bumping this up to see if anyone has any other (cheap) tips? Wasn't too worried about them before but recently got barbara daly makeup, the colour of which is the best I have found to suit my pale skin, but it seems to settle in my pores:( The same with a loreal colour match one I bought recently. Have ordered illamasqua foundation aswell but fear that I will get the same results with that.
Tried a primer under it this morning, and there was a bit of an improvement but not much. Its so hard to find a foundation to suit, but the aldi one I had been using didn't seem to do this, but the colour of it isn't quite right.

Use Witch Hazel as your toner, its a natural pore miniser. Theres no way to get rid of open pores but using this daily will temporarily reduce them.

Firstly, you need to use a good exfoliant. The grains will help minimise the pores because it will polish off the dry dead skin that causes the pores in the first place. This should be done once or twice a week. http://www.cdwow.ie/beauty/pore-minimizer-thermal-active-skin-refiner/dp/1352327 Increased pore size may be due to too much sebum production. To diminish the size of the pores, apply a Pore Minimiser Refining Mask once a week. http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/1688/8455/Skin-Care/Pores/Pore-Minimizer-Refining-Mask/All-Skin-Types/index.tmpl

Cleanse and tone. Use a face cleanser suitable for your skin type and after apply a toner using cotton wool. Consider using an exfoliating toner that really penetrates the pores, Organic apple cider mixed with water and tee tree is a great toner for minimising pores.

“Apple cider vinegar is packed with alpha-hydroxy and amino acids that help to dissolve dead skin cells, balance the pH level of skin and stimulate blood circulation. The acetic acid in apple cider vinegar stimulates the capillaries under the skin, leaving you with a soft glow”

Also a Splash of cold water or rubbing an ice cube over your face will help reduce pores.

Apply moisturiser suitable for your skin type.

Look for products that contain salicylic acid. It will fight the sebum-packed pore, exfoliating the dead skin cells built up inside.

Use an oil-controlling product on your face in any areas where you become excessively oily. Don't put it on your entire face, just where you need it. This will refine and reduce the size of pores. Clinique offers a pore minimiser product that controls oil.

    Makeup

Apply a primer to your face before you apply your makeup (^Clinique pore minimiser). This will fill in enlarged pores. Apply your foundation lightly; too much foundation is going to broadcast the fact that you have large pores. Instead, apply a blotting powder to the areas where your pores are most enlarged. The powder will diffuse the look of the pores, giving you a clean matte look.

    Hope this helps...
