News was confirmed a few weeks ago, but don't see a thread.
DiCaprio, Scorsese together again for 'Wolf of Wall Street'

Leonardo DiCaprio is teaming up with director Martin Scorsese for a fifth time to shoot "The Wolf Of Wall Street" together, Variety reports.

The actor has previously worked with the moviemaker on "Gangs of New York," "Shutter Island," "The Departed," and "The Aviator," which landed him a Best Actor Golden Globe in 2004 for his portrayal of reclusive tycoon Howard Hughes.

Now they're collaborating once again for the film adaptation of businessman Jordan Belfort's memoir, which chronicles his life in banking and his stint behind bars for money laundering.

DiCaprio will play Belfort in the film.

The movie has been in development for more than three years, and Belfort is delighted his story is finally being told on the big screen.

He says, "I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am to finally be working with Leo and Marty on this. They're the ultimate dream team, and it was definitely worth the wait."

It's been rumoured for a while that Di Caprio would play Belfort and while I'm a big fan of Leo, it's going to be very interesting to see how he pulls of the main role. For those who haven't read the book (you should, it's fantastically entertaining and hilarious) Belfort is basically like Michael Douglas' character in Wall Street, except his appetite for power and fortune is replaced by an appetite for drink, drugs, strippers and all the excessive playboy antics of a high roller. Absolutely cannot wait for this, and feel relatively safe that it is in the hands of Scorsese and Leo :)

Cool, one of the best director/actor pairings around at the moment, DiCaprio has been one of the best leading men in Hollywood for years.

I really don't see what the big deal is with Di Caprio. I think he's a terribly overrated actor and has been for a while now. A mate of mine once said Di Caprio was the best thing about the Departed whereas I thought he was far outshone by Wahelberg, Sheen, Baldwin, Damon and Nicholas. Also watched Shutter Island over the weekend and thought it was woeful - very disjointed with really obvious CGI bits thrown in.

It's like he's being shoe-horned into playing these really serious roles but I just think he's miscast. I reckon he thinks if he grows a small bit of facial hair for each performance he'll be taken seriosly. He's had the same 'please take me serious' schmig for Inception, Departed, Blood Diamond and Gangs of New York!

I think people can go too far the other way: he's a good actor, but I'm also a little confused about the hype he sometimes gets.

Whatever happened to The Irishman movie Scorsesse, DeNiro, Pesci & Pacino were supposed to do?

He's a fine actor but all this talk of been the new DE Niro is silly. He doesn't have the intense style or Charisma of a De Niro at his peak. I think he's more a Robert redford Really, good actor nothing more. He gave his greatest performances for me all before Titanic.

Personally, I prefer him when he sticks to golf.
But other sports people have made the crossover I suppose...

Hopefully it'll be better than Shutter Island. I fell asleep watching that twice - once in the cinema and once on dvd. God it was tedious - looked great, but so boring. Which is a shame given the talent involved.

i think hes avery hot and cold actor, but has big appeal to most of his films, what one group likes other dislike, but the dislikers like his other films that the others dont like,

the last 2 biopics he done were great, so id say this should be good, he seems to work better with real people to work off
