Would you spend ten years in jail for 5 million euro??

It's not a bad investment, when you look at it.

500,000 per year

Once your time is up, you have all that money

If it was in an Irish prison, I would. Wouldn't do it in a Turkish prison though.

I might be willing to be locked up in solitary for 5 years but tbh the idea of spending any amount of time in prison with other prisoners is actually more offputting to me than the idea of losing my freedom itself.

Considering you do basically **** all. doesn't seem too bad.

Would prefer if they'd give it to me now and I go to jail at 80 when I retire

I will be 35 when i get out of prison. So it wouldnt really be worth it, i wont be able to enjoy it like i would now plus i would probably become institutionalized locked up. All my mates would of grown up and "matured" and i probably be stuck with ex con mates.

so for 500,000 a year :rolleyes: whereas I could work like fecker in college and the likes and get a really good job hopefully for maybe 70-80k a year...

10 years in jail and you'd have lost most of your friends... I'd have missed the best years of my life... you'd spend the 5 million fairly fast anyway's I'd say so it's be 10 years gone in your life....

and I haven't even though about the showers in jail yet....

50 million now your starting to make a half way decent argument....

You could probably live off the interest of €5m for the rest of your life. I haven't done the maths but you'd probably do less time in 10 years of prison than you would working for 40/45 years. So for someone in there 20's it might be worth it from a time perspective. Saying that after 10 years in prison you lose a lot more than just the time spent in there.
