if you are on your way from carrick to manorhamilton, give yourself some time and go up around the arigna mountains overlooking lough allen, sure the pubs in drumkeerin will be cheap enough as well.

Drive from Aughacashel over the mountains to Ballinagleara is lovely on a nice day. Great views back over Cavan and the midlands and over Lough Allen and the mountains to the north.
Same area, but in Cavan, is the drive from Swanlinbar over Glangevlin and into Dowra, then back into Leitrim heading for Drumshanbo (passing Ballinagleara) along the east shore of Lough Allen.
Anywhere around Lough Gill (half in Leitrim), Glencar Valley (likewise), Glenade (on the road from Carrick to Bundoran) Kiltyclogher, Rossinver etc. in north Leitrim are all very nice too.
And there's pubs aplenty in Leitrim, mostly reasonably priced compared to Dublin etc.
