    I'm looking to get one of these to be able to charge my iPhone from a plug/socket rather than always from my laptop.

    Is there anywhere I can pick up an official Apple one other than the apple store (where they are a pricey €30)? http://store.apple.com/ie/product/MB706B/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY

    Also, do unofficial ones do the exact same thing without harming your iphone?

    Any help appreciated folks!

    Cheaper version on Focalprice for $2.55 will take a couple of weeks to get here.

    Or to charge 4 items at once also in Focalprice for $6.21, I have it and works great.

    Cheers nava, it does the exact same job yes? Doesn't compromise the iPhone in any way? Just got one last week and very precious about it at the moment :o

    I have a spurious charger and while it works perfectly with the Nano 5, I can't get the earphone jack in easily as the charger is just that bit wide.

    Not in my opinion, I have mine since before xmas and never had any problems
