A question regarding Chemist charges. As i understand it a Chemist charges a mark up on a prescription product plus a dispensing fee. So when it comes to Generic - cheaper drugs will it not be the case that the mark up is less for the Chemist and would actually lead to a loss of revenue.
So in other words cheaper drugs for Joe Public equals less profit so promoting generics is not good business.
Is this a fair summary of the situation.

Or maybe if the difference between the generic and branded version is very large, they can get away with a bigger mark up.
