Hi guys, does the engine management light come on(momentarily) when the ignition is turned on regardless of a fault or not? A friend said a light should come on and it may indicate the bulb being removed or the wire being cut. Has anyone ever heard of an issue like this. Thanks.

Naa its normal for the light to come on for a second or two during start up.

As above, the managment light should come with the ignition and go off after a couple of seconds after starting.

It happens alot these days where instead of fixing a fault people/dealers will just remove the bulb from the MIL light. Its supposed to be an NCT fail/advisory if the MIL is on permenantly or doesn't come on with the ignition.

You can test your dash lights to see if there's a bulb there...
