I'm using Adobe Reader x and if I click on a pdf on any of my lecturer's websites, it won't display, anybody else getting this? I get a message something like
"there is a problem with adobe reader, if it is running, please close it."

Have you tried alternative software like Sumatra PDF to determine if the problem is Adobe Reader or the PDFs themselves?
