I tried calling the UPC freephone number 1908 today with my mobile phone, this is the phone I used to sign up to my current deal , however when I got through the computer voice I was told we are sorry we are experiencing technical difficulties and can't put through your call at the time, however when I used my work mobile a phone which Ive never used to ring UPC before the techical difficulties have magically been fixed, went back and tried to call them with my own mobile and it looks like the technical diffculties are back, as far as im concerned the reason theyare doing this is either because

1.im already a customer so theres no sale so no profict for them

    or

    2. they know im thinking of canceling as I sent them an email a few days ago, so they have put a block on my phone trying to make it as hard as possible for me to cancel

    What you reckon?

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

As far as I know their system automatically looks up your customer details when you dial from a registered phone number. Most probably that system is broken, so when you dial from your own number you get the error message. When you call from your work mobile it doesn't recognize you so you go through a different procedure and that one isn't broken. Just dial from your work mobile, it is free anyway.

Oh and btw, I don't think you can cancel over the phone anyway.
