I am having the exact same problem. I tried about 6 different places in our apartment to get a good signal and finally found a great signal and it took forever to load web pages...i think i will bring it back as its too frustrating:mad:

Sounds like it may be a problem with the encryption. Have you tried turning encryption off to see if it works? Go to the hotshots web interface by connecting the hotshot to your PC and in your browser go to http://o2hotshot.home In the Settings tab click on WLAN on the left hand side. You will see a drop down list called 802.11 Authentication. This is probably set to WPA2-PSK. Change it to OPEN and see if all your devices will connect.

Note: When it is set to OPEN your wifi network will be unprotected so anyone with a WiFi device that is in range will be able to connect to your network and eat into your usage allowance! So, don;t forget to switch it back to secure the network again

If it works when OPEN then there is some problem with the xperia connecting to the encrypted and protected network. It may be just a case of changing the xperia settings to match the hotshots (e.g. WPA2-PSK) or it may be something else to do with the xperia that other xperia owners may be able to help you with (I don't have an xperia)
