    Hi-

A really simple question, when a manufacturer says

"2-Weeks Disposable Toric Soft Contact Lens"

Do they just mean that it's a lighter version of the old monthly(30 days lenses) I.e do you treat and care for these lenses just the same as monthlys? Taking them out and cleaning and sterilising them overnight.

This seems like an obvious question and it probably is.....so obvious in fact that no lens seller deems it necessary to actually spell it out. But still...For the uninitiated the term "2-weeks Disposible" is fairly ambiguous.

A two weekly lens is the same as a monthly lens i.e. cleaning etc. It's a good lens as risk of infection is less cos you are only keeping the lens for 2 weeks. Most brands of the 2 weeklys are more breathable and allow more oxygen to the eye this helps eye health. The impact of losing or breaking a lens is less financially too
