Needed one for work and picked one up in my local pc world. Very good price, even for online it seems.

Got one of the older slightly-squarer models of this to use with my WDTV over 2 years ago..

.. and I use it every single day and can't fault it!

I did read somewhere that the newer models aren't quite as reliable, but could be mistaken.

This is a good deal. I got one of the older ones too - and took it apart to put into my PS3 when I "needed" a bigger portable drive. Beware that as far as I know the latest ones cannot be taken apart - the old ones had a sata to usb converter on them that was easy to take apart - but on the newer ones I've heard that the USB is soldered to the drive or similar - that's to say it can't be taken apart and used in a laptop or a PS3 etc. The good news is that that arrangement makes the portable drive smaller.
