I just found an old wireless router, a Sitecom WL-534, in my house. Unfortunately I can't find the power adapter. I have however several other adapters. The user manual just says "12V DC, 1A Linear Power Adaptor". Does it matter if I use a different adapter than the original? Will it cause a fire or anything. I have an adapter here for example that has the right output, 12V 1A. But I'm not sure if the input is ok, does it even matter?
